Cucumber and Roe Bites

These quick and easy bites are perfect for a picnic, summer potluck, or dinner party appetizer.

INGREDIENTS

1 Cucumber

2 oz Crème fraîche

1 oz Smoked Trout Roe

1 Sprig of Dill

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Slice cucumber to the desired width.

2. Top cucumber with crème fraîche (we like to use a squeeze bottle to get the perfect dollop).

3. Add a spoonful of Smoked Trout Roe and a sprig of dill, and serve!

This variation of our trout roe is cold-smoked in Pappy & Co. bourbon oak staves with apple and cherry wood chips, producing a craveable, smoky finish. The cold temperatures allow the natural smoke to slowly and safely infuse without overpowering the natural flavor of the roe.
