Meals on Wheels, Fort Mason
This years event raised a record of over 3.3 million dollars! There were over 100 chefs and 100 vintners participating in a tasting followed by a dinner.
The money raised is to help seniors live independently. The organization serves more than 2 million meals a year to homebound residents, mostly seniors. That number has quadrupled in the last decade, according to Karl Robillard, communications director for Meals on Wheels.
